I'm not feeling very well today. I'm fighting something, and I hope it doesn't lead to what is going around. I hate feeling sick. I kind of feel like I have a two glasses of wine buzz, but with a sore throat. Hmm, I think I have to do an aromatherapy intervention...
Yesterday I borrowed 3 books from the library, and I couldn't help but dive into, and once again, more devour, than read, 'Winnie The Pooh'. I do recall reading it as a child, as I knew most of the stories.
I have to say that I absolutely love A.A. Milne and his characters. It brings back warm fuzzy memories of my maternal grandmother... and she wasn't exactly the warm fuzzy type, more of a flaming red haired, eccentric, romantic drinker/smoker... anyway... She loved all things English, and she was the one that introduced me to (many things...) A.A. Milne.
I love simple, humble characters, and if you have never read anything by A.A. Milne, I suggest you do.
If you know me at all, you may know that I love to eat. I feel faint if I go 5 hours without eating, and Billy would say that I'm exaggerating... I can only go 4 hours... This is a constant 'joke' between Billy and I. He doesn't understand... So last night, before bowling, I read him a tiny excerpt from Winnie the Pooh to prove to him I'm not alone...
*************
"When you wake up in the morning, Pooh," said Piglet at last, "what's the first thing you say to yourself?"
"What's for breakfast?" said Pooh. "What do you say Piglet?"
"I say, I wonder what's going to happen exciting today?" said Piglet.
Pooh nodded thoughtfully.
"It's the same thing," he said.

I could not have said it better myself!
