I don't think 'thoughtlings' is a real word, but oh well!Yesterday seemed like a Sunday as Billy was home from work. That means it seems like Monday to me... hm, I like that idea, only a few more days until the week-end again. I think this week-end we are going to try to zip to London, (Ontario, not England, that would take significantly more than a zip...) to visit Billy's cousin, wife and their kids. Actually I think the plan is to leave at like 6 am to be there for 8 to watch one of the kids' play hockey. That will be fun. I also have the out of town buyers coming back on Sunday to view a home for the second time, and then an open house in Kingsville after. Hmm, busy, loaded week-end already. Fun though...
Today's picture is of Billy's cousin's son from a few years back. What a great picture!
So I realized today that it is already January 9th and I've already read 3 books, (Frankenstein Book 2 by Dean Koontz, Lucifer Gospel by someone who writes about as well as my 11 year old niece, and Split Second by David Baldacci - I've read better...) and none have been a classic novel, therefore today I shall 'get thee to a library'... a nunnery is out of the question...
Today is also a perfect day to make home made mac and cheese. Billy is working late, and is having left overs for dinner. This little cooking adventure should take me a couple of hours. By the way, I'm not a fan of weighing cheese, I have however, learned to weigh the cheese before it is shredded... Brilliant!
I know that this post seems incredibly ADD - ish, so sorry about that...
I think that Billy and I may scrap our upcoming plans to go to Florida. (He has never been to Disney World or any other Florida attractions...) We may instead venture to Hawaii and Tahiti in the late fall. We'll have to check the finances. I just can't justify paying $3,500 US for a week at a Disney resort, (including passes) but not including chow nor travel. We'd also be staying for up to 2 weeks, and well, you get the point. I'm kind of in the mindset that let's do the things now that we won't be able to do in 20+ years. When we're in our 60's I hope that we're still able to surf, kayak, hike, do zip lines, snorkel, rent scooters, etc., but the odds are we'll be limited. So
let's save the walking tour of the Vatican gardens, a gondola in Venice, Disney parks, and all inclusive, lie on the beach type of vacations when that's all we can physically do. I hope that we'll always be able to golf... So anyways, we'll see. We almost booked a trip last year for next week to go to Australia and New Zealand, but we didn't. Good thing I guess. More financially responsible...Hawaii is great motivation to go the gym. Here is a picture from our cruise to Hawaii from 2003. I hope to look like this again.... Note to self: next time someone is taking a picture of me in a bikini: Suck It In! haha, oh well...
Resolutions are going well. I'll like to try some new recipes, and drink more wine... Hmm, that seems like something I'll try tonight!
