I stand corrected

I'd like to think that I'm the kind of person that can admit when I am wrong...

'Jazz' by Toni Morrison is a good book.

I'm only about 1/4 of the way through it, but when I first mentioned it, I was only several pages in, and I had trouble with the writing style.

I'm really starting to enjoy it. The style is almost like 'slam poetry', or a verbal jazz. I pretty much have to imagine an evangelical speaker, or a lone woman on an empty stage telling the story. Very different from what I'm used to, but very interesting.

It is written in the first person, which I have always found annoying, but in this case, it is appropriate.

Hmm, admitting wrong? Enjoying a new writing style? Could this be personal growth? We'll see, like I said, I'm only 1/4 of the way through...
