Moving right along

As I pedaled to nowhere this morning at the gym, I finished 'The Great Gatsby'. It was pretty good, it kept me interested enough at least to keep turning the pages. Why it is listed as the number one classic book of all time? I don't know.

It was good, don't get me wrong, and I know that the book makes a few 'profound' points, but, it wasn't the best book I've ever read. Jazz was pretty good too. I liked it better than 'The Great Gatsby'...

Maybe when I'm done reading all 100 classics, I'll redo the list according to my own opinion. So far at the top would be (in no particular order, as I haven't thought it entirely through....)
- To Kill a Mockingbird
- Gone With the Wind
- Winnie The Pooh
- The Fountainhead

The list is looking better already! I'm going to spend some time online, reading about 'The Great Gatsby', perhaps I'll be enlightened and appreciate it more... I'll let you know...

So today is a day to look forward to. Here are some reasons why:
- Went to the gym, and it feels great to be done!
- Excellent coffee, I'm looking forward to my second cup
- Going to KT's tonight. For sure KT, Bek, and The Other Liz will be there
- Going to make fondue, I hope it turns out good
- Fresh French and sunflower seed bread to eat tonight with above mentioned fondue
- House is clean, but I didn't wash the floors, as we had pooch until 4 pm yesterday and there would have been too many paw marks...
- Wine at KT's... mmm...
- Picking up package this afternoon from Canadian gourmet food place, where I ordered extra hot horseradish and some tapanades etc., (for Superbowl... can't wait) I love packages (sing it all together now! 'Brown paper packages tied up with string, these are a few of my favorite things...')
- Going to the library to get 3 more books. All classics, I'm on a roll!
- Just being at home this afternoon with Billy (he's at work right now, poor guy)

Life is good!
