The week-end has flown by and again here is Monday morning. The plan today is:
- Do laundry, including sheets
- Take poochy for a good long play next door
- Check the pool (my mom is still away in Utah or Nevada I guess by now...)
- Get an oil change at Midas (they're great)
- Go to the mall to use my b-day goft certificates to purchase a pair of white shorts long enough to golf in (Deb and MomG bought me 2 Izod golf shirts in Vegas last week that are kick ass, but I can't wear them with any of my current golf shorts.....so... and big serious golf tournament at Sutton Creek tomorrow, so have to look spiffy! Might look for pink plaid shorts too, wish me luck!)
- Look for new sheets (in case you care, ours have a rip in them. I know people -KT- that have a closet full of sheets, not us. We literally have 2, one on our bed and one on the futon, and the one on the futon is plaid striped 1992 Seattle grunge style flannel, so not too hip... Maybe because we didn't have a wedding shower I didn't get the required 5 sheets sets that everyone else in the world seems to have piled lopsided in a hallway closet... anyway, we really need new sheets...)
- Pay GST (If you have a mall gift certificate and supposedly said certificate is good anywhere in the mall, can one use said certificate at CIBC to pay GST? Prolly' not... I'm sure I'm not the first one to question that, perhaps the first one not on welfare, however...)
The Man is at work right now, (which seems to state the obvious, but I'll tell you, anytime I see one of the 'kids' they always ask me, 'where's Uncle Billy?' and I always say, 'working' or sometimes golfing. I think they always ask because both my brother and my sister are self employed and are about the house more, anyway...) and he'll work a regular day (wiring I believe, which is very mind numbing, focused and hard, not to mention hot) then he'll come home, eat, shower, nap and back to work at 11pm tonight and work until tomorrow afternoon. I don't know how he does it! Keep in mind that he had a brutal week-end on call. That man needs a vacation!
By the way, we lost our match play, which is kind of a relief for me. I've only ever played team sports and the individual thing is stressful! We had fun with this couple though and I really hope to golf with them again.
Life's good!
