Last night was one of my final acts in real estate. Thank God! I suppose technically I shouldn't even have done the final inspection with these clients, however, occasionally the agent is not available and the home owner gices them access, so I guess it's okay. Sue me. 2 more days until the last closing I'll ever have...
I also still have to visit, (not out of obligation, but because these people are really nice,) the family that moved from Guelph to Amherstburg. Today I'm picking up a gift certificate for them, I already have a nice bottle of wine to give them, and hopefully I'll be able to make it out there on Thursday or Friday. I should be able to work into my schedule. Let me check, yep, I'm free!
Tonight the Mexican Town girls are coming over for a little visit and I'm really looking forward to it. (Please know that they are not from Mexican Town, it's just that we go there a lot, and I don't know how else to categorize them, so MT girls will suffice.) There are some appetizers that I've been wanting to make, and I want to share some of the wine I've discovered lately. I'm sure there will be lots of laughs and some gossip. I have to vacuum the couch as it is covered in Halia hair.
The weather has finally broke, although it has not rained, it is much cooler today with a high of only 80* and no humidity. Ah, relief!
MomG took the pooch yesterday to Point Pelee, and apparently on the way back from the point, (they walk on the road, less people and mosquitoes,) Halia flopped down and refused to take another step. She needed a little rest. This is good for her weight loss. Can you believe that my mother-in-law and her relations stood there and waited for Halia to get up?! Funny lady.
I love this not working thing! I'm getting a lot of little projects done around the house, and I just feel so much less stress. No group pages, no dreaded phone calls to clients, no disappointing people, no anxious vendors, no retarded purchasers. Instead I have time with my husband, friends and my mom, a clean house, a nice yard, and about 8 books to read. I know I will get bored, but I'm loving it! Billy is amazing to give me this experience.
