Let's start with the good, shall we? Last night was my ladies golf league, (no my score was not the good part of this little story...). Kiks saw a guy who was a contractor at her old place of work, and he was in the clubhouse when we finished our round. He bought Kim a drink, and I couldn't believe that he bought me one too... I don't even know the guy! How nice is that? Well, he also bought us both dinner! Who does that? How nice is that? It completely redeems all the things I'm going to discuss below... well almost...
I'm wondering, how often do guys sit around bitching about another guy? Very rarely it seems. How come women behave so badly that it can't helped but be talked about?
Please feel free to rate on a scale of 1-10 (10 being completely unacceptable...) how bad you think this behavior is...
1) When invited to a party with an RVSP of a week, you call the day before.
2) You tell the host that you will be there at 2pm, you are bringing a vegetable platter, you can't wait to see the hosts' kids, gush, gush, etc. etc., then you show up at 10:30pm.
3) Upon showing up at 10:30pm your excuse for being late was that you were at another party.
4) Upon showing up at 10:30pm, you stay for only 1 hour.
5) Upon showing up at 10:30pm you then invite everyone at that party to leave and go to the party you were just at...
So what do you think? Fairly offensive behavior, yes?

It being summertime, and my husband having a physically and mentally draining job, vacationing always comes up. He deserves it more than anyone I know. He was supposed to have a free trip to Vegas, but of course, all the dates are blacked out. He discusses with his friend the possibility of still going to Vegas, or perhaps Tennessee for a week of golf.
His friend's wife 'won't let him'.
Whu? Huh? How does that work? I'm really not bitching about this, seriously, I just want to know if I'm missing something here... before you race to leave a comment (sarcasm) here are some facts, and please, please comment if you can shed some light for me, (or if you just want to bitch)
Fact 1) Married like 12 years, 2 kids, about 11 and 9
Fact 2) Wife doesn't work
Fact 3) The couple has no problem getting family to watch the kids
Fact 4) The wife does not like to go on vacations
Fact 5) Although money doesn't grow on trees, it's not a big problem for them
Fact 6) The husband truly works his ass off in a totally stressful job
Fact 7) Tennessee is not a Spring Break destination, no strip joints or hot clubs, (could you see Billy at a hot club? Could you see me? Hahahahaha... I digress...)
Fact 8) The friend would have a free place to stay, and would only have to pay for some of the gas, food, drinks and golf.
That would be the damned day that I told Billy he couldn't do something! Why wouldn't I want him to go? Maybe it's different with kids and of that I'm not sure, so feel free to enlighten me.
