Thou shalt not spoil...

I won't spoil the ending or any parts of the most recent HP novel, but I am going to chat about it a bit, so if you want to be HP free, stop reading here...

I'm happy with the ending, and I was really afraid that I wouldn't be. I have been known to literally throw a book across the room upon its completion. (The Partner by John Grisham and Beach Road by James Patterson pop into my mind, oh yeah, I also tossed The Chamber by John Grisham into a glass doored Pepsi cooler when I worked at The Big Chief gas station... it is the only facet of a temper I have...)

I will also say that I cried many many times while reading the book, (I started at about 8am and finished at about 11pm...) The tears came within the first 50 pages and the last 60 I was streaming constantly, but also remember that a) I'm a big emotional baby... (yep, I'm a cancer...) b) I have an unusual attachment to that sweet Harry and all his pals c) it's pretty damned sad and a touch profound, which I totally love...

I would also like to mention that reading this book was like reading 'see spot run' compared to the Tom Clancy novel I put aside, so that was rather refreshing and enjoyable.

I really hope that there will not be anymore novels, spin offs, or stories that come from Hogwarts. Let it go. It's obviously not a money thing as JKR is loaded, so let's say good-bye like adults and appreciate that all good things should and do end. I would hate to see the whole HP franchise 'jump the shark'.

In closing, I would like to thanks JKR for really making some magic, and getting a whole generation to read.
