Too much of a

A good thing.

I've golfed 6 days in a row, and last night I was talked into playing in a charity tournament tomorrow at Sutton Creek. My right wrist and fingers a little stiff and my swing is as slow as molasses. It beats working that's for sure!

It's funny because the woman who was desperate for more players has never been nice to me. Maybe it's just my interpretation of her behavior or perhaps I don't get her sense of humour, but she's actually been short with me and has dropped little comments in the past. Hmm.

When I said I would golf I never realized it was her running the tournament. I will say that she was pretty damned happy to have me sign up, delighted in fact. She immediately said, 'you're on my team!'. Hmm, great. I wonder which version of her I'll get?

Did she act happy because she was glad it was me who signed up? Was her reaction based on true gratefulness that someone stepped up to play? Did she react that way because she heard that I won my flight in the club championship? I don't know, but I don't like it...

Everything else I like. All is good. It was a burner out there today, though, whew! Sweaty Betty.

Billy is playing in the men's league tonight, so I had a chance to catch up on laundry, cleaning, recycling, and watering inside and out. Just me and the pooch tonight, oh, and Mary Mary by James Patterson. Kind of nice, actually. ;P
