It is absolutely gorgeous outside. Very green, gold and glistening. The kind of morning that nature is telling you that fall is inevitable.
What a fantastic week-end! We played glow ball on Friday night and I can say it was one of the best times I've ever had golfing! The couple that runs the couple's league really goes all out. Played in a scramble format, our foursome was given about 6 glow balls, a bunch of glow sticks(bracelets, earrings, hoops, etc.) to decorate ourselves and our cart, and a little flashlight. The nine holes that we played were totally decked out in glow sticks. The bridges, some trees, pathways, the flag stick, the inside rim of the cup, the tee boxes, the yardage markers... everything! It was so cool looking.
Although the balls don't go as far as regular balls, we still shot an even round. Amazing, really. It was really challenging playing in the total darkness. Awesome. I can't wait for next year, and I'm totally going to deck myself out properly.
Yesterday was my nine-hole league field day and it was great. For 6 holes it was a scramble format, 6 holes a step aside format, and the last 6 holes was alternate shot, which pretty much killed us. Too much fun! Everyone seemed to have a great time.
When I got home, we went to a wedding reception of a friend of mine. Although the day was cool and windy, it was gorgeous out there. We didn't stay long because we didn't really know anyone, and there wasn't enough room to sit inside the dining tent. Either it was too small, or they invited some last minute people. So that kinda sucked, but it was a nice night, the bride looked amazing.
Today will be another great day. The kind of day I love. Billy is cleaning the hot tub, and will be filling it today! Oh yeah, the hot tub is back in action. I'm going to go to the grocery store and Billy is going to make homemade bread and lasagna. Billy is going to cut grass and I'm going to do little things around the house and maybe weed-whack. We're going to watch football, and have MomG and Billy's sister over for dinner and play a little Guitar Hero. So much fun. Perfect day.
