It was a rainy day today. Grey, no sun at all, but the positive side of this is that the green has really popped, but no leaves on the trees yet.

Yesterday I golfed with Kiks, not well, I might add, then I went back for the women's 9 hole league, which was... nice. That's the word I guess: nice.

Where we golfed no women let alone men stuck around to eat, drink or socialize, so maybe I'm not accustomed to small talk with strangers as here everybody except one women came in for dinner, a drink and some conversation, (and they talked about her...).

I definitely felt like the new kid on the block in more than one sense if you get my meaning. Don't get me wrong, everyone seemed great, very friendly, etc. (one women in my group swore like a sailor and dropped the F bomb about 5 times...) It is just that these women have known each other for years. Being the first night for the league it was a boisterous gathering full of 'catching up'.

Soooo, hm, what to say... I don't have kids, let alone kids in college, I haven't ever been to Myrtle Beach, and I don't own a timeshare, I don't know Barb's cousin's best friend's vet.

It should be an interesting year. I'm really looking forward to knowing some people at the club, we'll see how that goes.
