Year

Since I've been posting for well over a year now, I thought I would reflect a bit...

I'm much happier and am enjoying a considerably reduced stress level from this time last year. I never imagined that I wouldn't be working.

Some of my *friends* have surprised me in the last year. Relationships come and go apparently. Kids grow up and go to school. Houses get built and vacations taken. Life goes by quick.

When I started posting a year ago, I think it was mostly to vent (yell at the wind) some things that pissed me off, and just record my day. For the record, the same things still piss me off...

I like to every once in a while to look back and see what I was doing a year ago. It often surprises me that it was a year ago that I did, said, thought this or that.

This day last year I wrote about a song in my head. This strikes me as funny, as today I couldn't stop singing "Ride captain ride on your mystery ship". I don't even know if those are the right words, but I know that it was a one hit wonder from sometime in the late 70's.

So I shall quote the fictional character Ferris Bueller (great movie by the way...) "Life goes by pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."
