Today I worked again in the yard. I'm really trying to get everything done so that I can enjoy the summer with a little maintenance. It's going slower than I thought, but it will be worth it. Hopefully by next week I'll be all done.
I don't understand the hoop de dula over American Idol. I love reality TV, but this just doesn't do it for me. Guest singers, big surprises? Who cares? Apparently A Lot of People, just not me.
TOL returned home after her incredible trip of a lifetime. We didn't have a chance at all the catch up, but we're getting together this week-end and hopefully one night next week. I can't wait to hear all about it!
Stupidest dog in the world, Mike, thought it would be a great idea to cool off and play with his racquetball in our 2X2X2 pond. Great. He knocked over the plant, so I ended up cleaning out the entire pond. Once done I discovered that the pump/filter doesn't work! ARG! Perfect!
I'm a little down about hearing the constant debate about the 'war in Iraq' (Doesn't ANYONE remember George W. congratulating the US on winning the war? It was before Saddam was 'captured'... anyway...) Do politicians not realize that peace in the Middle East will never happen. The purpose of so many people's existence in that region is to destroy, annihilate, completely wipe out one another. Can we change that? The American presence only antagonizes the problem further. Of course I wish all those serving there the best and continued safety, but c'mon, it's not getting any better. It never will.
I'm still quite bothered about hitting the bird last night. I saw 3 doves in our yard today, and I'm pretty sure they are planning some type of revenge...
