I really don't have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Well, maybe just a paired down version - undiagnosed of course.
Today's plan, as most Fridays, is to clean the house. I have to clean the house on Friday. I can't leave any part of it until Saturday, and I can't start on Thursday. If I have something I have to do on Friday, then I won't clean the house until the next Friday.
I also have to walk the dog in the morning, (if it's not raining, and if she's here and not at Billy's mom's...) and get to the gym before 8:30 am. If I can't get to the gym before 8:30 am, (except Saturdays and Sundays, my OCD takes a break...) I won't go. Simple as that.
So this morning I drag my butt out of bed and take the dog for a walk. Right on time, lots of time to walk the pooch and make it to the gym.
On the way to the gym, I decided to stop at Home Hardware to buy hangers, new headphones (to make cardio more bearable), and a small recycle box. My mentality was avoid sweating all over the store, so go there first. All good, only 8:15 am!
On my way out, I bumped into a guy that I used to see around town a lot, (a time when if you wanted to find me on a week-end, check out a local watering hole...). He talked and talked and talked as I stood outside the car, nodding politely and occasionally throwing my 2 cents in. Ahhh, doesn't he know I'm on my own personal insane self prescribed schedule? Ahhh!
At 8:45 am I headed home with my new headphones that have yet to see a gym...
